Gardening stand, Watering Can and Spinkler

Elaborate wirework plant stands were once found on the verandas of Victorian and Edwardian houses, and sometimes in shade houses in grand public parks. Plant stands and garden objects reflect the design values of the time when they were made. Artefacts like sprinklers are now superseded by more efficient drip irrigation systems, depriving this generation of kids of the opportunity for simple play.

The urn was originally part of the Dalton fountain in Cook Park, collection Orange City Council
